She has been drawing and painting in his classes for over 10 years. Joe is 95 years old, has been teaching for over 50 years and  and has mentored hundreds of artists.

Silvia also earned an MFA in Film Directing from the American Film Institute, graduating in 2010. She is currently wrapping post-production with her first full-length documentary "The Dog and the Duck", a film about art and mentorship, and finding your own voice. Silvia now belongs to LA based art associations (LAAA and Pacific Palisades Art Association), showing her work locally. FOX TV bought the rights to display her art in episode 5 of the new TV show "Weird Loners".
