Silvia is also a licensed tour leader and a teacher of the Italian language.
With her education rooted in Italian Literature and history she has enjoys teaching private students online and in person in Tuscany where she lives, and she has taught classes at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles for over a decade. Since 2012 she has taught Italian to hundreds of students and shared her passion for the Italian language, customs and territory.
She also is passionate about sharing all she loves the most about Italy with likeminded lovers of beauty and the good life. Over the years she has organized and led different art and language tours in Italy for her students and friends, exploring areas such as Puglia, Sicily, Bologna, Milano and more. In 2022 Silvia moved back to Italy after almost 17 years in California, and she now lives in the magical little village of Montisi, in the Valdorcia region of Tuscany, where she paints, teaches painting workshops in her garden and online, and leads painting retreats.
